SUPPORTING EDUCATION OF TRIBAL SCHOOLS

Vyakti Vikas Kendra is a non-profit organisation under the banner of the Art of Living that focuses on providing basic education to under privileged children. There are 20 schools under the organization in rural areas of Ghatsila & Dumaria (Jharkhand), and Purulia (West Bengal) providing education to 2500-3000 children. The children are encouraged to attend school and are provided with mid-day meals, medical care for the students and their families, uniforms and textbooks, all free of charge. Sreepriya has been a benefactor to this global service project.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM AT NGO EKTARA

A registered Trust, Ektara began its journey in 2011 with a small group of children and women from impoverished families in the slums of Topsia and Tiljala. Starting with just 20 odd beneficiaries, Ektara now has over 700 direct beneficiaries. Sreepriya Exports is proud to be one of them and contributes to their vocational training program- UDAAN

This program was started with a small group of mothers keen on acquiring stitching skills enabling them to work out of their homes. The unit trains women to pursue sewing and embroidery as a profession and helps them find employment. Sreepriya donates raw materials such as fabrics at the end of every season which enables these women to make a variety of products for sale.

EYE CAMPS

Sreepriya, in partnership with the NGO Art of Living has been conducting regular eye screening camps, providing medicines and funding surgeries in the villages of local craftsmen for over 15 years.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

We have empowered over 200 rural women, by training them in the art of needle pointing.
